Dear Mum,
On the 5th of April there will be a drop in cafe and I would very much like for you to attend it. Please do come as for you would learn more about the learning going on in school.
There are different standards (levels) in our learning, however the one I must be on to be at the national standard is 4. Let me explain how this works, for me to be at the national standard my score must be 4A. Even if I’m at that does not mean that I can rest, I know that you don’t want me to so you do not need to give me a lecture. I’m fully aware that you want me to do well.
I do know how I am doing and I think it’s quite acceptable. My levels are good yet we both know that they can be so much better. For Mathematics my e-asttle result was 4A which is good since it states that I am at the national standard. My results for reading is 4A but the best result that I have is for writing which is- 5P.
To accelerate my learning I have learnt a few things from your eldest daughter, Alice. I have also payed a lot of attention while the teacher is teaching, that’s why she calls me a sponge which means- “Everything that she teaches, I soak it up.”
All I need from you is for you to attend the meeting and keep John away from me so that I can focus.
Your loving child
Heather
