Rich texture flowing through the white block. Soggy thin layers wrapped around it leaving space on the outside. Chunks of sweets gave it flavour and the fresh armour was to die for. Everyone’s eyes were glued to one thing. My first bite was a sensation, everything just melted away in my mouth.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mrs Ramkolowan.

I am Malala
I think that Malala is a strong girl to face the Taliban and stand up for girls rights for education. This term we have been reading the book [ I am Malala ]. When Malala was shot she had no anger for the men who shot her and I think that is a very smart decision. I know that if someone shot me I would be furious but Malala is not stubborn like me. I couldn’t even imagine being in Malala’s shoes, getting an award, standing up to the Taliban and having another life to tell everyone about what's happening in Pakistan. She has inspired me a lot and I hope that one day men in Pakistan will know that girls not WANT but NEED to be educated. As what Malala would say:

The long weekend
Walt: write about the long weekend.
The long weekend
It was easter
And I was at home
Sitting on the chair out front
Waiting for my mum to do the easter egg hunt
My brother cried because my mum had to hide em
There was oh so much chocolate inside em
I didn't find much
But it was still very fun
Except eating the hot cross bun
