Meat pie filling
Today for technology we made fillings for a mince and cheese pie. We have a two part lesson where today we make the filling and next week we make pastry that will hold the filling. It was a bit hectic today but we all still managed to finish our filling.

My favorite song
I like this song because it’s so upbeat and fun. I love listening to it whenever I can because I find the song so amusing.

Outdoor games
For the last activity we got to have a little fun playing some outdoor games. Before we could play a kind lady told us some rules and showed us how a few of the games works. My favorite game was the stilts. It didn’t take me long to be able to walk in the stilts because I could easily remember how the lady said to use it. There was a photo thing where we could put our heads in and I really liked it so I asked out teacher is she could take a photo of my friend and I, which is the photo on the top left corner.

Butter making
The third activity that we had was butter making. In a jar there was cream and we had to use a little tool that was like a egg beater. Using that tool we had to turn the handle for the cream to be churned. We ended up creating a beautiful block of butter with our school logo to indicate that we had made it. Also there was a song that kids would sing long ago while they were churning which was:
Come, butter, come!
Come, butter, come!
Peter’s standing at the gate
Waiting for a butter cake
Come, butter, come!
However instead of Peter the children would put in their own name.

School in 1847
The second activity that we did was going to a school from around 1847 - 1850. What fascinated me was that the school actually was a real school from back in the day. The desks were also from back then. Placed on the desks were things that we needed to use to write. I had a lot of difficulties using the little rock as a pencil but I did end up finishing what I wanted to write. In the school we learnt about how our teacher lived when she was young. Her life back then sounded like it was really hard.

Transport in Glen Innes
For our inquiry topic we were looking at the past, present and future of Glen Innes. There were four other people that I worked with who are, Lakai, Natalia, Huntah and Daniel. Our model was about the transport of Glen Innes. I did enjoy making this as well as colouring it in.
