While we were playing volleyball outside it started to rain. Our teacher already had a plan in case it would rain. Since we were inside now we were unable to play with the ball so we used balloons to play volleyball. Another twist to the game was that we had to stay on our bottoms and we could only shuffle along the floor to get the balloon. I enjoyed playing this game and it was a great way to end the Friday.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mrs Ramkolowan.

A volleyball area
Today in the morning session a few boys went out to help our principal clear out an area. Due to the heavy rain our field is out of bounds which is why our principal wanted to mark a volleyball area on the ground. However the ground had heavy logs which is why the boys had to go out to help. The fact that they were struggling was hilarious but I do understand that the logs are heavy so I understand.

Investigation into volleyball skills in Room 8
On a google spreadsheet I put in numbers to indicate the way I play volleyball. Using online tools that were given on the top right corner of the spreadsheet made it easy to create both a bar graph and pie chart. I also had to find the mean or average of the numbers our class put in. I found this task very easy as for it was just a few clicks of a button.
